Nubian Goats
It started with kids… literally, our children. Our first Nubians came to the farm as fosters for a local goal dairy so that our children could bottle feed raise them. They’ve even been known to have a slumber party in the house on a chilly night.
Nubian goats are a popular breed known for their distinctive long, floppy ears and Roman noses, giving them a unique and charming appearance. Originating from the Nubian region of Africa, these goats are prized for their exceptional milk production, which is rich in butterfat, making it ideal for cheese and other dairy products. Nubians are also known for their friendly and sociable temperament, making them great companions on farms and homesteads. They are adaptable animals, thriving in various climates, and are recognized for their hardiness and ability to graze on a wide range of forage. With their striking looks and productive capabilities, Nubian goats have become a favorite among both dairy farmers and hobbyists alike.
